Cadence

This is one I wrote in the early days of Edentree, performed by the original lineup: Mike Richmond (Lead Vocals and Guitars), David Ivy (Bass and Backing Vocals), and Chris James (Drums)

Lyrics

Your tragic symphony was written with the morning sun… was each sharp stroke made with precision, or indecision? They thought they knew your inspiration, but I’m guessing still

I wish you well, but I wish you once could see all the eyes you’ve left to bleed… when the final cadence came that silenced that day

I heard they found you at the altar, but your arm was still… and their review of your performance echoed dissonance. They thought they knew your inspiration, but I’m guessing still

You laid it down, your melody… I heard the sound, your lullaby. The score was bound, all the pages were filled when they found you that day
